Thank you. And yes, it’s called “Is Hate Too Strong a Word” by Lucy McLauchlan. Your best bet is eBay as they’re hard to find these days. I’ve had this for about 11 or so years now. Good luck!

Gorgeous gorgeous details! Radom questions but are your Victorian doors original? we are looking to replace ours (they are the awful cheap mdf type) with knotty pine type and I don’t know whether to go for reclaimed or buy new and stain. Thanks!

Thanks Lizzy. No the doors aren’t original as our house is a 1960’s semi. They were already fitted when we bought the house. Look to be cheap as chips ones from B&Q or something. Very light weight. Good luck with your search!

  5. I just love your home! truly beautiful! Could you tell me how you got the concrete effect in the study / office area? I really want to create this in my home, ideally would love to try to do it myself (on a very tight budget).

  6. Your place looks awesome! I was wondering where the print above the firepace is from?

    Hi Karen
I have been looking around without any luck for door hooks like the ones on the back of your bedroom door. I may have asked before and missed your answer…thank you x

Hi Karen! Love all of these spaces, especially the nude bedroom – it looks so serene! Just wondering, is the green armchair an ikea one that you’ve re-upholstered? I think I have the same chair in grey and while I still love the mid-century design, I’m a bit bored of the fabric/colour now. Wondering how difficult it would be to cover it up (with very basic sewing skills…) Thanks, Freddie.

Thanks Freddie. Yes it’s the Ikea Ekenaset chair and I spent about £60 getting it reupholstered in a green, corduroy that I picked up for about £20. Hope that helps!

Thanks so much – you’ve confirmed what I suspected (that it would need to be done professionally to look as good as yours does)! Anyway, I like that you invested in a piece you liked rather than just replacing it. 😉
