The Drawing Room – Final Reveal

Am so excited to share the final reveal of this project with you. I’ve been working closely with the homeowners for the last five months and i’m kind of wow-ed with the final design. If you’d like to read all about the beginnings then, jump over here for a catch up. Today’s post is all about the final photos and a shopping list for any of you out there that fancy any of these pieces for yourself. Let’s go. Before Here is their large Edwardian front room at the beginning of July this year. These guys had just moved in and were wanting a formal, but statement front room fit for drinks, music and entertaining. After And here it is now. It’s just so cosy isn’t it? In fact, after doing my final hour of faffing and half way through me taking photos, I was desperate for a quick cat nap on the sofa in front of that roaring fire. So nice. Before Everything in the room was going. Apart from the two made.com Ritchie sofas and …

The Drawing Room – Pre-reveal

I’m not gona lie, i’m typing like this: And I know i’ve already used that GIF, but I don’t care, it’s frickin funny. And this is how I type when i’m this excited. Before I’ve just got back from a visit to see the Drawing Room project. I started working on this room a few months ago and man alive, it’s changed so much since my first visit. The whole room is not quite finished yet, but I thought, what the hell, I’ll just show you some cool close ups, because if I don’t, I might actually burst! If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen my post earlier this week where the Lines wallpaper by Ferm Living was going up on the walls. I think this photo has had the most likes of all my pics… which kind of sucks as that was taken by the decorator. “Eff you decorator, Stealing my Inta-thunder!” So now it’s time for MY pics. Let me show you some little hints of what’s to come. No …

The Drawing Room – Shopping List

As promised, the last time I wrote about the Drawing Room, I mentioned there’d be a blog post coming soon enough, with the shopping list for this room. I think it’s time you guys got to see what we’ve been busy finding (and buying) whilst we’ve been waiting for the new sash windows to go in. Ferm Living Lines Wallpaper from Cloudberry Living I’m sure you all remember this, but just incase you missed the last few posts about this project, this wallpaper is going around the whole room becoming the backdrop to everything inside. It’s going to be sooo good. As soon as the windows are in, it’s time for the wallpaper. Eeee! **does little dance** Euan Floor Lamp from Habitat There’s a yellow/brass theme going on in this room. Lots of little pops of “bright” to contrast against the dark blue wallpaper. Stockholm Glass Door Cabinet from Ikea This will become the drinks cabinet. Crystal glasses galore and obscure spirits are awaiting their new home. Glass and metallics will be used to bounce the light …

Ferm Living – Lines

I’m currently in the process of gently persuading some lovely new clients to step outside of their comfort zone. I wouldn’t really be doing my job if I didn’t just a wee bit. I’ve eyed up the perfect wallpaper. And I’d love to use it on all four walls. Come see. Ferm Living’s, Lines Wallpaper is a new release for 2016. And it’s bloody gorgeous. The design comes in Dark Blue, Mint, Grey and Off White. Any guesses as to which my fave is? Lines in Dark Blue by Ferm Living This geometric, yet über elegant wallpaper is clearly inspired by Art Deco design. The delicate golden lines creating a subtle yet striking pattern. And it’s this blend of bold without being brash that makes it perfect for this couple’s new living room. They’ve just moved in and are already getting stuck into modernising this 5 bed Edwardian house. The architect is tackling the back of the house and i’m getting to have some fun in this space. The room is 5.5m x 4.5m with super expansive 3m …
