Lighting at M&S – A/W 2016

A little interiors inspo for you today. All visual. No chit chat. Well not much. Whenever I say no chit chat, I normally managed to chuck a few words together and ramble on more than expected. See, i’ve already started. Let me show you my fave finds from M&S lighting department for this A/W 2016. I think you’re gonna like ’em. Madison Cluster Light Beautifully simple way of adding a touch of “boho glam” to your ethnic interior scheme. Doesn’t come with bulbs so don’t get caught out with that one. Add some to your basket. Mila Chandelier Wanting to channel your inner Abigail Ahern with an oversized beaded chandelier, but can’t quite afford the price tags? M&S are onto a “winner winner chicken dinner” with the Mila chandelier. At £299 it’s just about do-able, but obviously wait until one of their discount weekends where they offer 20% off. Don’t forget Topcashback too. If you’re savvy you might be able to own this corker of a light for about £220. Paloma Pendant Coming in three distinctive shapes …

We have light

Remember a few posts ago, I introduced you to some of the lighting options for the living room at my new project? The very first time I walked into this room, I visualised a particular ceiling light. After showing the homeowner what had popped into my head (a deconstructed chandelier), it was love at first sight all round. A couple of days later, I found “the one” for this room, and before I knew it, the homeowner had placed an order and it was on its way. Yesterday on my second visit, upon walking back into the living room, the light had arrived and was already being fitted by the electrician. And it looks as gorgeous as I had imagined. The Molecular Pendant by House Doctor was the hands down winner for this room. The clean, minimal lines with the brass accents will work perfectly with the plans for this room. I’ve got serious light envy. A new moody blue, velvet sofa will replace this one. And a larger rug. The homeowner has loads more artwork that’s never …

Masonic Villas – Lighting

Last week, I introduced you to a new project i’m working on. And the amazing-ness of said project. I’ve been a busy little bee since the initial consultation, selecting colours, planning layouts, materials and finishes, furniture, contacting suppliers, tradespeople….  It’s hard work you know! One aspect, that seemed to be sorted in about half an hour was lighting. Sometimes you find just what you’re looking for straight away. In fact, I chose the living room ceiling light about 10 minutes after arriving, before i’d even been “hired”. So to speak. The homeowner has a penchant for deconstructed design. Industrial and salvaged pieces, harsh lines and raw materials. Just like me. As soon as I walked into the living room and saw this ceiling rose I knew exactly what it needed. A deconstructed chandelier. Swoonworthy   –   French for Pineapple I first spotted this industrial style chandelier in Kimberley Duran’s office make-over at Swoonworthy. And then in Bianca Hall’s dining room on French for Pineapple. They look soooo good. Love those ladies and their taste in lighting. …
