We all know that vinyl is back in favour. But it’s not just hitting the ole gramophone again..
Nice toe tap there.
It’s getting laid! Back on your floors. At home. Long gone are the days of extremely unattractive, badly fitted slip-hazard flooring. Today’s vinyl is:
- highly practical
- easy to clean
- none slip
- durable
- quick and easy to lay
- relatively cost effective
- warm underfoot
- 99% of the time compatible with underfloor heating
Today’s vinyl is also extremely cool. From wood, marble, concrete, tile effect vinyl to a custom designed image of ANYTHING you could possibly imagine. The floor is your oyster. Come see.

As you can see, vinyl in its new stylish guise can be used throughout the home, not just in your kitchen or bathroom. It’s perfect for a hallway, utility room, boot-room, playroom or kids bedroom and makes a real feature in a living space.

If/when we ever come to update the flooring here at home, i’d love to use vinyl in our hallway and kitchen/diner. It’s certainly more appealing to me than the oak laminate we have at the moment. So what do you guys think? When you think of vinyl, do you think of this…?
Or this?
Would love to hear your thoughts. Happy weekend everyone!
I’ve got SUCH a weakness for pretty flooring or tiles. I think my favourite would have to be the blue Neisha Crosland design. Great finds!
This is great Karen! Exactly what we’re looking for to replace some peeling Karndean kitchen flooring – didn’t realise vinyl came in such wonderful designs. Thanks so much for flagging this up!
I am after vinyl when we get the office finished and probably the kitchen for the non slip quality, but I still worry about tears and rips and dents in it. I’ll need to investigate a little further!
The versatility of vinyl is unbeatable! I love all the options you’ve highlighted here, especially the Harvey Maria one. After all, it’s not that expensive, so you can always replace it and experiment with a new style if it cracks. Thank you for sharing this! 🙂
The range and quality that are now available are worlds apart from the kitchen floors we grew up with. There’s been a few times I’ve fallen in love with vinyl flooring, but left empty handed because it feels wrong on some level. Thank you for a great post. I’m off to plan a vinyl flooring purchase!
