Hello everyone, how have the summer holidays been treating you so far? Enjoying the torrential, seasonal rain we’ve been having? No, it’s been a bit crap hasn’t it? So i’ve been staying in. Staying in a lot… but I have been virtually strutting my stuff around t’internet town lately. A bit like this guy:
I thought some of you would like to see where Making Spaces has been making some moves during the past fortnight, because it’s been a busy couple of weeks!
First up, Houzz. A room tour of the bedroom in our recently converted loft space.
It’s had some pretty nice feedback so far, which is good considering it certainly won’t be to everyone’s taste, especially on Houzz. This particular comment made me smile:
“Love scandi style and the bed cover. But don’t like the black. The pictures left me looking for the finished product. Glad the home owner likes it. That is most important.”
Anyway, if you’d like to check out this tour on Houzz and read what everyone else had to say, click away and have a snoop.
Onto the next BIG piece of work i’ve been involved with along with Carole King from Dear Designer and Amanda Cottingham from Ana Mum Diary. The three of us have collaborated on a (if I may say so) fantastic digital download for Police Mutual.
It’s a 27 page booklet filled with top tips explaining how small changes can go a long way to creating a fab home. You can read the whole brochure here. Enjoy!
Onto, numero 3. As part of MADE’s Inspiration series, i’ve been featured in their latest article all about How to use the rich new palette. There are some great inspirational images here, some of which no doubt you’ll recognise.
And last but not least, I was interviewed for a most wonderful feature on Swoon Worthy.
It’s all about Making Spaces, how it began, how I got into design and what actually happens when you work with an interior designer. Because it’s all a bit of a mystery really isn’t it? If Kimberly from Swoon Worthy is not already on your radar (where have you been?) you seriously need to give this lady a follow. Her home (and pet family) is awesome, plus, she’s a genuinely lovely lady. I’m very honoured to have been featured.
So there you have it. I hope you’ve enjoyed catching up on some of these. Oooh the sun just popped out… shall I pop the washing out??
Oh no, it’s raining again. Good ole British summer. Anyway, thanks for stopping by. Stay dry peeps!
