The Drawing Room – Pre-reveal

I’m not gona lie, i’m typing like this:

giphy

And I know i’ve already used that GIF, but I don’t care, it’s frickin funny. And this is how I type when i’m this excited.

Before

I’ve just got back from a visit to see the Drawing Room project. I started working on this room a few months ago and man alive, it’s changed so much since my first visit. The whole room is not quite finished yet, but I thought, what the hell, I’ll just show you some cool close ups, because if I don’t, I might actually burst!

If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen my post earlier this week where the Lines wallpaper by Ferm Living was going up on the walls. I think this photo has had the most likes of all my pics… which kind of sucks as that was taken by the decorator. “Eff you decorator, Stealing my Inta-thunder!”

So now it’s time for MY pics.

Let me show you some little hints of what’s to come. No talking.

The wallpaper is just F.I.T. Unbelievably so. I dare anyone to walk into this room and no go, “Wow!”. Dare ya!

Can I just live here please?

Ok so, tell me what you think. Do you love it? Do you? Do you? I do. Would love to hear your thoughts on the few bits and pieces i’ve shared today. Full reveal coming soon with the full run down on the shopping list. But for today, I think you will agree, it’s ALL about that wallpaper.

Is it time for a gin yet? I’m gona say yes, that clock didn’t work. **adds batteries to list of things to sort for next time**

Happy Friday peeps!

  1. It looks absolutely amazing! We love the fact you have embraced the wallpaper around the whole room. It is elegant, fun and cosily stylish and the pop of furniture pieces really brings the whole scheme alive! Great styling and thanks for the mention, we just LOVE IT ! Can we have a kitty that types that fast please 🙂

  2. OMG – I LOVE THAT ROOM
I knew I liked the wall paper but I just wasn’t sure about how dark it was but you were right, it is a fabulous room and I love all the metallic and glass touches. That room screams luxury, but is livable as well. Can’t wait for the full reveal.

    • Me too. I can’t wait to get some pulled back shots of the room so I can show everyone how it works as a whole. Glad you like the wallpaper throughout. It’s a brave move, but totally works!

  6. Oh dear god woman you are KILLING ME!! That wallpaper!! The brass detail on the fireplace!! The marble!! Gahhh! It’s all so freaking gorgeous. Loving it!! xx

  7. I am so in love with this room. I love the wallpaper more than I can even express and all the small details that you have incorporated are just so perfect. I love all the brass. And the way you have colour matched the paint and the paper so perfectly. Oh I could go on and on about how perfect this is. I can’t wait to see the full reveal.

  8. It does look amazing! What is the paint that you used to match the wallpaper? Did Stiffkey blue finally do the trick? I’m considering that combination for my hallway:)
    Thanks!
