The Pre – Final Reveal (Preveal)

I’m not talking much today.

It’s just pictures. Pictures of the “Preveal”. The preveal and the shopping list for the living room at the Masonic Villas project. I think it’s good to have everything in one place just incase you actually haven’t been following each and every blog post (how dare you).

Anything that doesn’t get a mention means it was already here; artwork, furniture, lighting, this place already had many beautiful vintage and salvaged pieces to work with (lucky me). But let’s take a look at what we added to the mix to pull it all together.

So there you have it. Any particular piece take your fancy?

We’ve still got a beautiful aged rug on the way for the bay window above. So it won’t be until August that i’m back with the Final Reveal of this project. The three spaces all complete. Six months of my life right here. Almost like having a baby. Almost.

  1. I love all the unusual lighting in the room. Esp that black wall light – which has been added to my wish list. And i’m off to check out your netto post now as I cannot believe that planter was from them – it is perfect for my garden

  2. It’s looking fabulous! And great to have the shopping list. I feel another splurge at La Redoute coming on. But gutted the mid-century planter is sold out. And oh the rug! Wish my budget had stretched to that one when I was buying one. It’s on sale now at the moment too. Great job Karen, nearly there, one last push (just like giving birth!) xx

    • Thank you Molly!! I’m always flipping on La Redoute now. It’s so good isn’t it. I’ve already tweeted them asking them to bring the planters back. I’ve got one in the loft. No idea where it’s going but I HAD to have one 🙂 x

  3. Goodness me, you’ve been busy, Karen! I really like the Farrow and Ball off black paint – it sets everything off in the room wonderfully well.

  4. Stunning transformation, Karen, just stunning! Beautiful, styling, comfortable, homely – I’d be very happy to live in that room! xx

    • Yes me too!! I took someone with me to see it a couple of weeks ago and she could’t leave. Asked if she could touch the rug. Ha x

    • No it isn’t actually. It’s quite a dark room, gets the light late afternoon, but I guess as it’s dual aspect it benefits from a lot of glass. It’s a massive space with 3m high ceilings so it could handle the black with ease!

  5. The room looks amazing Karen. The light is so striking and looks great against the bold black wall. Loving the contrast of the mid-tone blue sofa as well x

  6. I really like that ceiling pendant, a hint of mid century but contemporary too, and that wall colour, wow it really works with the period features! x

    • Thanks Cate. You nailed the brief really. Contemporary/mid-century without losing the period features. So glad you like it 🙂 x
